Manali is a popular tourist destination located at the northern end of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Manali is a hill station on the banks of the Beas River and is situated at an altitude of about 2,050 metres (6,300 ft) above sea level.

According to legend, it was founded by Maharishi Vashishtha, where he used to meditate.

The Atal Tunnel is a 9.02-kilometre-long (5.60 mi) road tunnel connecting Manali and Keylong. It is the world's longest highway single-tube tunnel with a height of over 10,000 feet (3,048 m). It is named after former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

A part of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, the Solang Valley is known for its natural beauty and variety of activities. The valley is named after the village "Solang" and the word "Nala" (stream).
